RULES AND PLAYING CONDITIONS
The Ground permit is valid from 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM only. The extension of time will not be possible after 5:00 PM. However, the match preparation / warming up etc. can be started by 07:00 AM
The tournament would be played on Knock out basis. All matches will be played on turf wickets and the format will be 10 over per innings for all knock out matches. However, the tournament organizer reserves the right to revise the format under unavoidable circumstances.
The Venue of the tournament will be YMCA, Bengaluru.
All players should be employees of Toyota Connected organization.
Vicky yellow tennis ball will be used for the tournament. New balls will be used for each innings. No balls will be given for practice.
Each team should nominate a maximum of 13 players who would represent their team. For matches played in that tournament the team of 11 must be selected from that list.
Players are not allowed to change their team in the middle of tournament and is allowed to play for only one team.
Matches will be played as per the schedule/fixture given to the teams.
First aid kits and a physio will be available to treat any injuries sustained while playing.
The team Captain must report to the scorer’s desk at least 30 minutes before the Scheduled start of the match. If a team fails to report before 15 mins of the reporting time the opponents will be given walk over. By the term ‘reporting’ it is intended that the captain should handover the list of players, be ready for the toss and should be ready with the team to take the field as and when the umpires want them to. If both teams report late at the venue then umpire/ Management might call off the match or deduct overs of the match.
The 12th man of each team will assist the scorer during the course of their match in identifying the names of the players
The Team Captain is responsible for informing all of the teammates about when the team will be playing and on what time.
The tournament organizer reserves the right to reduce the overs if in its opinion, there is no sufficient time to complete the overs. If there is any interruption before the scheduled start, or during the match, The overs will be deducted in such a circumstance.
The decision of umpires will be final in such an event of the above.
If a game is stopped due to bad light or bad weather, or due to any unavoidable reasons beyond the control of tournament organizer, Management will take the decision in such a scenario.
A bowler can bowl a maximum of 2 over and a minimum of 5 bowlers will need to bowl in an innings.
A 5-minute break would be allowed to the two sides between changes of innings.
FREE-HIT for all No-Balls will be employed for the tournament. Runs will be counted for no balls, wides, overthrows and byes.
There is no LBW and no runs will be awarded for leg byes.
A runner for a batsman when batting is not permitted. The umpires shall have discretion to allow, for other wholly acceptable reasons, a substitute fielder to act for a nominated player, at the start of the match, or at any subsequent time.
During the Powerplay overs (3 overs for 10 over matches of both innings) only two fieldsmen shall be permitted outside the fielding restriction area (30 yard circle) at the instant of delivery. During the non-Power play overs, not more than 5 fieldsmen shall be permitted outside the fielding restriction area. In the event of an infringement of any of the above fielding restrictions, the umpire shall call and signal ‘No Ball’ and instruct the captain to change the field to comply with the rules.
All scoring would be done through the Scoring app (Cric Heros). These will be the official scores considered for purpose of conducting the tournament.
The tournament will be played as per official ICC cricket rules apart from few exceptions mentioned above. For all cricket situations not mentioned here the on filed umpires decisions would be final and binding on all players.
In the case of a tie in a knock out match where runs both teams scored are the same, the deciding factor will be a super over. Both teams will select 1 bowler for a super over match. Victory of the match will proceed to whichever team wins.
In case of tie in the first super over, there will be one more super over played. In case of tie in the second super over the winner will be decided on most number of boundaries in the match. If the boundaries in the match is also same then the result will be decided on a most number of boundaries in the super over. If that is also same then the final deciding factor will be toss.
The tournament organizer reserves the right to frame/ change/ modify any of the rules at any stage of the tournament if found necessary.
